Looking for opinions from users of this radio. I am in the works for a new all band/all mode radio. I like the TS-2000 the best so far. I like the large display and dual receive. I am going from an Icom 718 so I would be making a big leap in whatever radio I choose.
I am not a fan of the 857/897 as I like a bigger radio and display. I ruled out the 746 PRO as its too risky because of the still uncorrected transmit loss issue that may occur. I like the IC-7000 but no dual receive and still low audio output on HF. I am not going to spend the cash and then have to send the mic down to be modified because Icom won't address the issue. I have read lots of positive reviews on the TS-2000 and I am not a contester and don't use CW.
Is it worth the $1600??
