Dont know if this is the right forum to post, but I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with the handhelds that capture live video feeds? I saw a radio in Universal Radios catalog and thought it might be an interesting idea. What brand or models are out there for live video feed capture? How close does the radio need to be to capture the feed? Thanks to you Pros as always.

It sounds to me like you're referring to the Icom IC-R3 receiver. I tried one and wound up returning it. It could not receive a 900 MHz wireless camera I had at my own house. I confirmed that the type of video the camera used was compatible with the type of video the R3 could receive. With the LCD display turned on (there's a secondary display for showing frequency only) battery life was severely diminished. I also found it very susceptible to front end overload from strong signals. Icom makes some darned good radios, but IMHO this wasn't one of them.

I don't know of any other radios other than the R3 that offer this feature, but there may well be others.

There are some recievers sold by a security camera company you may want to check out. Super Circuits is at http://www.supercircuits.com/ . Check out their portable 2.4GHz video receiver at-
http://www.supercircuits.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=4012 They have a couple of different modles which pick up the 900MHz band in addition to 2.4 but I have noly seen them in the printed catalog. I can't find them on the website.

Google seaches turn up lots of "baby cam" systems with portable receivers.
