Anyone using an IC-R30 in Nova Scotia?

Anyone using a IC-R30 in Nova Scotia?
I already know it won't do trunking or DMR. I had a SDS100 and it really didn't seem all that great in my area so I returned it and bought a R30.

I'm looking for something that I can use that would pickup a wide range of transmissions not just trunking systems. The SDS100 just didn't seem all that great for the price and I can always pickup a 436 if I want to listen to trunking.

At 1400 dollars, plus tax and shipping no one can afford one. It even costs more than a SDS 100.
