I'm still confused about the two Lee County systems. Which are they using NOW? Why are there no Ft Myers PD talkgroups on the "NEW" system?!!

Hello I get complaints from my friend who lives in Ft Myers about the system almost weekly, some days it works and others he hears nothing at all, some days he gets radio traffice on his portable and nothing on his 780xlt and viceversa, he hasnt been able to figure out the problems yet.

I don't know why they still list two systems. There is only one in use and that is the "new" type 2 system which is county wide. The old 3 systems divided the county.
I have never had any trouble monitoring LEE Co. anywhere around the area.
Perhaps your friend has an antenna problem.

Dont think its an antenna problem he lives downtown ft myers last time i was there i heard the same thing he did portable work 780 didnt 780 worked portable didnt...very strange and we downloaded the same information into both scanners, maybe i will get his 780 and reprogram it and see what happens, we did use the new system.

If some of you are over in Lee Co. can you verify the unid talkgroups?
I was there on Sunday and on one of them heard talk of the Edison Mall.
There should be some tgs. for Fort Meyers PD but I see none listed. I started another thread on this subject.
