Hello,

I just got a new Pi-Star DMR modem and have it all programmed. Everything is green and good to go. I see the traffic on the dashboard and also see my info when I key up but hear nothing on the radio. Everything shows up on Brandmeister as well. Any ideas? I'm using an Anytone 878uvii plus with all current updates and firmware. The code plug is the same one used on my last DMR modem so nothing on the radio has changed.

im not exactly sure what a dmr modem is...you mean the pi-star hotspot?Try parrot and see if it talks back...if not, you might have to re flash the sd card on the hotspot...

I would go thru your radio programming and make sure the radio settings are correct like minimum volume, attenuation, etc...

Parrot did not work either. I see it on the dashboard but heard no audio. The radio programming has not changed since I changed from the Bridgecom SkyBridge to this no name hotspot. Everythingworked fine on the SkyBridge.

If this doesn't work, recheck all your parameters on your Pi-star configuration on your New hotspot ?
I factory reset the pi-star and verified its working and seen on Brandmeister. I see all the transmissions from talk groups as well as see my transmission go though. Factory reset my 878 and programmed just one channel, Parrot. Key up and send message and see it go through the hotspot but just get a beep returned, no audio.

I don't know what to tell you...I've never had that issue.
How ever, I had issues with the radio disconnecting from the hotspot randomly.
I ended up using the OpenGD77 CPS on my radio and my issue stopped. No more disconnects.

Ok, one more idea...I've heard others having something similar to your problem...
Definitely check and make sure your security password is correct.
It is not the same as your Brandmeister self care password. Check these two out, and make sure they are correct. It is an easy mistake, and easy to over look!

Two things to try. First, have you tried listening to Brandmeister Hoseline , this should allow you to hear your transmissions if they are making them into Brandmeister.

The second, and hopefully you have already checked this, is do you have Single or Dual Slot Monitor in the Anytone activated. If Monitor is off, then you will not "hear" any received transmissions. Good luck.
