Anyway to know if its 3600 bps or 9600 bps

Is there anyway to know if a control channel on a motorla smartzone system in transition to a p25 system is trasnmitting at 3600bps rather then 9600bps?

I want to get a unication pager but my local system isn't fully p25 yet and I am not sure if a unication will work.
