does anyone have a 7030+ and do they like it? I have one and I dont think its a very sensitive radio what do you think?

You're not saying very much here. On what bands? Using what kind of antenna? I've used 2 of these (boy do I wish I had the money for one...), and they can be quite hot with the right antenna. You can't expect a premium receiver to work well with little or no antenna. Also keep in mind that propagation - which is heavily dependent on solar conditions - is pure crap these days. A better antenna will help, but to hear the real good stuff you're going to need to dig. 73 Mike

I got 3 expensive antennas hooked up here indoors,reception isnt too good on most all bands mw isnt too bad, im gettin some usb's ,but its not like it used to be few years ago when i had my r-75,about 3 years ago I was gettin quite a bit more than I am now and the 75 seemed more sensitive on am 500khz-30mhz

3 expensive antennas indoors??? Get them outside if you can. Having indoor antennas is a royal pain - many will pick up every possible noise source possible from within your building/house. Which antennas?

As mentioned in the HF forum, which is where I'm going to try to get this moved, at night 80/160 can be quite good (if you're into the ute stuff, you look in between 4 and 6, and around 8 and 9 mhz at night, higher during the day). The better the antenna the better the results. It's really understanding the receiver, antenna and how propagation (which is generally cruddy with the flux numbers this low) happens to be that day that gets the results; and that can take time to learn.

you know today the reception was really good all of a sudden it seemed to just open up maybe youre right about the propagation thing it seems to be different from day to day
