This is a great scanner. I have been using it all day while at work and love it. It also works very well on reciveing in general. I have been able to pick up qso's on the 75 and even 160 meter ham bands using the whip. I have hooked up my ham antenna to it and it is exceptional on recieve mode. I absolutely do not know how to program trunks into it, and would like to learn how so if you know contact me. I also have a Uniden BC250D and an Icom R5 scanner. I am comparing it to those and many other mobile ham handheld and base units. Great radio if you have the $$. Well worth the cost.

You can program the frequencies used by a trunked system, but AOR does not make a trunk tracking receiver. So your 8200 will not.
