Hi I need to make a cable to send line level audio from my Aor 8600 mark2 to my line level recording device .

Now the Aor offers me one of two choices
High level output 300 Mv @ 600 ohms

Low level output 30 mv @ 600 ohms Which one should I use ?
Thanks everyone

I made my own Discriminator output cable for my 8600 Mk2. I bought one of these ...

... and then cut one end off and soldered a 3.5mm mono plug using Pin 6 and Pin 8.

However, as cheaper as it is to make your own, you might want to consider just buying the CR5000 cable. Saves all the messing around stripping back cables and soldering. Have a look at this link ... (click on the word 'aor')

I actually made my own as well as owning the CR5000. I initially made the cable using Pin 7 (Low Level Audio Output 30mV @300 Ohms) but found the output audio too quiet so stripped back the cable and used Pin 6 instead -- same setup as the official AOR CR5000 lead.

* remember! You have no squelch control using the CR5000 as Pins 6 and 8 are used; the audio is unfiltered also.
