NEED TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS OWNED OR PLAYED WITH A AOR AR-7000. IS IT WORTH THE $$$ ? IS IT SENSITVE. IM LOOKING TO PURCHASE A ICOM-8500. THANX AGAIN EVERYONE !!!

I have this radio.
AR7000 - my very loved radio!

Simply control, contrast color display and remote control - best advantages of ar7000.

Its good on Avia & UHF/VHF, but poor on Short Wave.

If those are your 2 choices, go with the IC-8500. I have played with them both and find the 8500 more stable and sensitive.
