I know that there was some discussion in the past on this issue, but I just wanted to see if anything had changed in this regard. When the AOR AR-DV1 receive encrypted audio, does it still play it through the speaker? Has there been any recent discussion of configuring this to mute encrypted audio?

Why would you want to sit on an encrypted frequency with the audio muted ??

Some organizations here only encrypt part time. I want to be able to listen to the un-encrypted audio.

To answer your original question, JASII - At this time, yes, the DV-1 does play encrypted transmissions and does not mute them.
