AOR AR5000+3 (SOFTWARE for Windows 7)

Hi folks,

I just bought a used AOR AR5000+3 wideband receiver. It came with a software that isn't compatible with windows 7 (64 bit). It only works with prior window versions, such as XP and Vista. Does anyone know if there is software available for this receiver that is compatible with windows 7? Regards!

Did you try running the program in XP mode, within 7? You have to install it, then right click on the icon, click properties, then compatibility mode, then select XP mode.

Most programs will run, as long as you can install them, in my experience.

Hi, thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. I will try to install it again. However, if I recall correctly, it didn't even install. If it did, I could run it in XP format, but it didn't. Anyway, may be I missed something. I will try it again and let you know! Many thanks for your reply and help!

What software package was this? Many such packages have Yahoo support groups that can be used for additional help

Just a side thought, many old programs only come as a zipped .exe file, and maybe a read me, you can unzip the EXE to your desktop, then do the same as I suggested in my last post, set it to XP mode in the properties.

Hopefully ka3jjz can help you out if my ideas dont ^^, he is basically a Jedi Master when it comes to this stuff he will get you headed in the right direction.

I've tried every SW package that I could find. Some worked to some degree but none would let me scan memories. Does anyone know of a SW Package for the +3 that will allow mwmory scanning???? help!!!
