3-4 hours with screen on auto mode when squelch broken. Also, battery indicator fluctuates when around half and under when receiving signal (This will be commented on when I write up full review, and many other things, after next firmware update which is meant to be any day now).

A comment for AOR will be that there should be or make it a percentage value next of he Batt indicator so that users have an idea of % left in battery. Better yet, in menu allow indicative amount of time left would also be good.

In this day and age it astounds me that many receiver/radio manufacturers do not look to mobile phone interfaces/menu options for better ease of use and naming conventions.

And lastly - on batteries, why on earth can't we get 4000-5000 mA batteries when most phones have that size now and are much slimmer than what is package in current receivers/radio's. Which charge in around 1 hour or less. Not the 5-6 plus hours of the AOR.

Thats prolly because thats the only battery Yaesu had. I agree it could easily be better one.

why they just used 2000mah one, no idea. Same goes for the airband antenna on a wideband receiver. Their design choices are weird...

Comparing to a phone it has got a 4000maH battery, phones use single 3.7V cells the DV10 uses a dual cell 7.4Vbattery, its the watt hours that matter not maH!

This is easily achieved if engineered without following the norm and different packaging. Several suppliers offer 7.4V 4000 and higher capacity batteries. $9 -12 in volume.

Main point is it would be a great day when the convention is not followed and some other approaches are done in the handheld space. It's not a deal breaker (like the bugs are for many people) but would be nice.

I have asked a simple question and received a valid, descent answer from TMac. Now, would you guess right that I am learning here and your 'lol' answer makes you a bad teacher, at best, despicable attitude.

Hey Concord1982 !
I absolutely agree with you!
Whenever I tried to demonstrate the opposite of their point of view (as well as c0ne ), they ranted at me and said insolently that I also used a secondary ID as TMAC 20.

The advertised Li-Ion battery pack is supposed to provide 2000mAh, but if you look closely, it is only 1800. This photo from the Yaesu website.
What gives?

The ARO DV10 comes with a BP-10 battery which is 7.4V 2000mAh 15Wh
