AORAR8600 Mk2 - Receiving Bands - HELP

I recently sold an 8600 Mk2 to a gentleman in Florida. He emailed me that "the receiver does not
work correctly on either upper or lower sideband mode."

I'm at a complete loss here and don't understand.

Does anyone understand what he's talking about, and secondly, is that receiver capable of doing what he asks?

Yes, the receiver is capable of both SSB modes. I have attached the 8600 MK2 site with full description to help you out.

STEPS

he probably has the STEPS set too high and hes flying past channels and getting flustered.(because he cant tune things in)Tell him to lower the steps.
