APCO 25 Fleetnet E. Ontario - Talkgroup Programming

How on earth, when operating a Uniden 250-D, would you enter a talk group like - "8a9" - into a scan list ? Do you just ignore the "a" and enter "89". Also, do I presume correctly that the 250D will NOT display oir allow you to enter talkgroups in Decimal format for an Apco system like Fleetnet Eastern Ontario ?

You have to convert 8A9 (HEX) to decimal = 35472.

And decimal is all the scanner will display for Mot systems.
On EDACS systems you have another choice for displaying ID's: AFS format
