Would someone be able to tell me what im doing wrong. I am trying to program the opp on my bc785d for london ont. but when all is said and done my radio sits on what im guessing is a control channel im thinking that i must have programed the radio wrong. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be greatley appreciated. Thank you.

Have you tried looking at Mike's instructions on this site. Can be found at this link.

The London Public Safety system is usually fairly busy, but 90% of the traffic that you hear will be works dept, road crews etc etc. Animal Control and UWO Police are also there, but that's about it. All the other traffic on the system belongs to London Police, and they are encrypted digital.

yes i discovered that when i bought my new trunk tracker scanner, i find it funny that i can go to toronto, windsor, detroit, etc and listen to the police. I have been curious what made the london police decide to go encrypted.

They have been encrypted for quite some time.... They had a 'privacy' channel as well back in the early 90's when they used convention frequencies. I've heard that Fantino was a major supporter of encryption, and pushed that feature pretty hard when the trunked system was put into place.

That is not good they should only encript the important calls like serious stuff. Have a few channels for that and leave the rest in the open.

I have a question. I would just like to know where i can find the ops channels at for the opp. Last night i was listening and they said they were switching to ops 9. Any help would be appreciated to find these frequencies. I looked all over in the database for them with no such luck.

Ok i don't get this. I have that talk group programed in, but didn't pick up a thing. I pick up the other talk groups, but didnt pick that one up. It says its Middlesex 8336. Is it cause of my location. I pick up Chatham, and Lambton even London. But then they switched and nothing. Got all the tags and frequencies in one bank for opp. Got all the tags and frequencies in another bank for MTO and the other stuff.
