Is the uniden handhelds easy to progrham a apco 25 turnked system is..the gre psr 600 is a big job

It is no different than programming a normal trunk system.
The only difference is you tell it that it is a P25 system.
Just make sure your system is a TRUE P25 system though, a lot of systems are regular Mot Type 2 with digital talkgroups on them.
In the database it will tell you this in the system type at the top of the page.
