APCO Frequecies

I live in Ohio and have monitored the MARCS TRS; TRS’s are usually for bigger cites/counties. I have also heard of smaller cities going to APCO 25 with a conventional freq. Does it sound the same as APCO trunking does? Is the clearity still really good, how it is on a TRS and what not? Thanks

Digital sounds the same whether conventional or trunked. Trunking hasn't anything to do with clarity of sound, just utilization of frequencies.
