APCO P25 Phase II Question

Does anyone here have any idea if there are any plans to go to a Phase II system here in Oklahoma anytime soon? I have been debating purchasing a P25 base scanner for the home. I have a hand held already. Just don't want to drop $500 on something they may be of no use pretty quick. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've not been paying attention. What is Phase II? The latest scare tactic by the salesmen?

If I had waited to buy my first scanner because the rumor mill said that agency X was going to the new, "unscannable" system Real Soon Now, I'd have missed out on 28 years of scanning.

It's not that bad. I've been listening to the site I listed above for weeks. You can hear most but not all. Sooner or later there will be a scanner capable of doing TDMA.
