APD Phoenix 1 down, 2 officers down

Most AFD traffic is spread between AFD TAC-3/TAC-4. Went down in front of the CVS at MLK and HE Holmes around 2250hrs yesterday, both officers are down.

What a tragedy, apparently Phoenix 1 was assisting on locating a domestic violence suspect at a nearby apartment complex, and ended up hitting some power lines and went down.

According to the news they were looking for a missing 9 year old boy. What a tragedy. Amazingly no one on the street was hurt.

Both officers had children of their own - one had a 21 year old daughter and the other small children. They gave their lives looking for someone else's missing child. Whether you live in Atlanta or elsewhere, we all will miss them and mourn their Line of Duty Death. Our heart also goes out to every surviving APD officer who clearly has lost a member of their family. RIP Officers - we are so grateful for your sacrifice!
