I've been looking at this particular antenna which is only 6' tall & doesn't appear to have or require a groundplane, is there something I'm missing here? In the past I have rigged up two 102" CB whips on a fabricated angle bracket with one facing up & the other facing down as a counterpoise using RG-8X feeding an R75 & could never receive anything clearly below 15 MHz day or night, anyone have any experience or thoughts on this particular model?
