Apopka FD question..

Does anyone know if that system is Encrypted or not? I see in the RR database it says yes, but I get some IPN pages with Apopka stuff. Just curious if that entry is wrong in the DB and they are NOT encrypted(FD) I know the PD is. I cant seem to find anything just using google to say they are encrypted.

Apopka is pretty much all encrypted, except for things like the Building Dept., Water Dept,. stuff like that. The only time you might hear Apopka units in the clear is if they're MA with Orange County.

It is interesting (or ironic) that Apopka is testing P25 X2 TDMA/FDMA and is also encrypting since there is only one scanner (the PRS 800 by GRE) which can monitor X2. I guess Apopka has been encrypted for a while? Has anyone tried a PRS 800 on the Apopka TRS?

Yep, Strong signal, No Audio on the GRE 800. WP FD is in the clear.
