Had to make a quick roadtrip today over to Farmville (Prince Edward County). Did a bit of listening on the drive.
While going through Appomattox County, made the following observations:
Appomattox County School Board appears to be running a MotoTrbo CapacityPlus trunk system:
461.43750
461.98750
463.98750
Did not have a digital receiver with me, but the data pattern fits the profile. Also, the installation dealer (per their FCC license) is a Moto dealer in Madison Heights.
Appomattox County water is running data on 460.17500, which I assume to be water tank SCADA type data.
Appomattox County sheriff appears to be using MDC1200 status messages for non-voice comms. Generic IN-SERVICE, OUT-OF-SERVICE, ARRIVED ON SCENE, etc. are the usual type of messages this is used for. (I will try to bring a MDC decoder on the next trip, to see if it is standard formatting.)

Over in Farmville, nothing exciting to report, but I did manage to hear Centra Southside Hospital's repeater on 453.0000 MHz, with comms were related to I.T. and Security. Some of their other frequencies are:

Finally, does anyone know anything about Immigration Centers of America in Farmville? It appears to be a corporate owned, contract Detention Facility/Prison for DHS/ICE.
