I haven't found great success on loading a Linux APRS app onto my Chromebook (tried Xastir and gave up), and there doesn't seem to be a definitive list of what works well with Chrome on a Chromebook. Has anyone gotten anything reasonably good to work well (for example, I'd love to plug my TH-D74 into the Chromebook as a TNC source).

Acer Spin 13, if it makes a difference.

I had APRSdroid running for a while with my D74. I seem to remember the last time I tried to set it up on a new Chromebook I got from work that it wasn’t available in the App Store. Worth a look, though.

APRSDroid is currently not available for the latest Chrome OS. I too was disappointed to see this. I have been a long time (paid) user of APRSDroid on my phones and tablets. When I finally bought a Chromebook, it was the first thing I attempted to install. When I couldn't find it in a search, I contacted the author and he told me that most version of Chrome OS were not compatible. I know he is making some big updates right now to support things like offline maps and I think he is trying to fix the Chrome OS issue. The problem is, the biggest itch gets the scratch, so if one feature and/or bug(s) are more pressing than say Chrome OS support, those are going to be prioritized.

I'm still hoping. I love APRSDroid, but I really want a keyboard/pointer interface like I do with my regular laptop and my Chromebook is just right in size and battery life.
