Aprs setup

Need some help with a APRS setup. I have purchased a digi tracker from cross country.

I want to connect it to a Icom V82. My idea was to wire ptt and TX into microphone input.

Can and one offer better method or ideas to setup this configuration?

The manual on that site has pretty much all the information you'll need to make connections to your proposed radio. Of course, you will have to have the connector(s) and pin-outs for your radio. I'm not familiar with that particular TNC/tracker so can't tell you anything specific about it (or your radio). I think joining the user group(s) on that site would be a good idea too.
