Service vendor is having challenges determining if there is an answer to this.
In Chief's car, we have a dual E5 head APX6500 (FW 26.04.00, codeplug 36.00.01). One head and speaker up front for normal day-to-day usage and one head and speaker in the rear for "command post" usage. Radio Ergonomics Wide is set to "One Active". The F/R feature is enabled and properly switches heads.
The issue is that audio comes out of both the front and rear speakers regardless of F/R position. 90% of the time, no drama. The issue remains the 10% of the time that the car is used in command position and the rear volume is left up. Chief gets back in the driver seat and is "blasted" by the rear speaker audio. The simple answer is turn down the volume out back but...
The theory is that the F/R switch should mute the alternating speaker. Is this a valid option in CPS?
I'm not finding an option in CPS (but Moto CPS is new to me) and the vendor was searching the university and has left for the day.
Edit: rear head is using the PWR/SPK connector for the speaker, not the 26-pin accessory connector. Unknown on front head without disassembly of console
