I wouldn't discount some of the BPF switching diodes or the logic that drives them, either. Failure of one of those can result in significant degradation of signal too.
I checked out sensitivity in each of the BPF's between 30 - 940 MHz...and they were all around 10dB down...so I don't think its a BPF alignment issue..but as you say, could be switching diodes etc.
