I also have the ar 7000, & would love to have some sort of software to play around with. The radio is fine manually, but has so much more potential, I believe, by adding a software package to it.
I presently have mine set up with an additional, larger screen mounted on my console, & have both a scantenna, & a longwire set up that works well, but would love to extend its performance.
