ARC 396 version # and recording...

Just wondering how to figure out when updates to the software become available, and how to find out my version number.
When I click HELP and then ABOUT nothing comes up. I also get no audio when recording. It creates a wav file, but no audio
I purchased the "pro" version and am running win. xp home sp2 with all current updates.
Anyone have these issues? Answers?

Hello,

One of the oddities of the ARC396 software (also the ARC330 software) is that to show the "Help - About" window, you have to first close the "Virtual Control" window. Do you have a audio cable between the radio and your sound card?

Gosh I can be stupid!

I just figured out that no, in fact I did not have an audio cable plugged in to the laptop!
I came back here to inform all of my stupidity and read your suggestion Mark...thanks!
The recording works fine and I'm just an idiot. As far as closing Virtual control 1st, that works too...Thanks again Mark!
