arc-500 software

I have a gen eral question regarding software, arc-500 especially. If you down load info. from my
psr-600 to the computer,is all the memory that I have entered in the scanner dumped to the
computer,or just a copy of it. If this is the case I would lose everything in case of a power
failure or some type of screw up ?.I have four techinical skills, but software is not one of them.

Using this software is like buying a used car with about 100,000 miles on it, you don,t know what
you will end up with. Of course,no info. at all comes with any of this software. Thanks

In all fairness, none of the big three scanner software apps here
have documentation. One could argue that with this forum there's
no need.

I beg to differ, but that's one man's view who happens to be on
dialup so clicking a button and having access to this forum isn't
always an option.

To answer your question, no. When you download to the computer
it leaves a copy on the scanner. At least it did on mine.
