When downloading Arc Patrol version 2.3 for HP1 from Butels website my webroot says it is infected with Win32.Autoblock.1 virus and won't let me install it. Is anyone else also getting this?

Thanks in advance

My version is 2.03, not 2.3 and my own program says it is the most current version. (build 3). No, I don't see any virus warning on my system.

When I open my Arc Patrol it tells me there is a new version. I click on the link and it takes me to Butels download website and says V2.3. Anyway maybe it is V2.03 but it still tells me it is infected with Win32.Autoblock.1 and cannot install it.

It downloads okay for me and passes my virus scanner. It seems to be dated 6/18/2012, I did not install since my ARC Patrol seems to be running okay. My version defiently shows v 2.03, build 3 and continutes to say "it is the latest version" and does NOT alert me there is a later version. I "forced" it to the Butel. NL website and to download, but NOT install the one there.

I can download it just fine but when I start to extract the file to install it webroot finds the virus. My current version is 2.02. build 1.

The only thing ODD I found in the xtraction was a file of "0" bytes names Project 2 which I did not let install.

I sent an email to Butels Tech Support and I'm waiting for a reply.

I have found Gommert to be very responsive, I saw a post from him 2 hours ago on another subject but I do know if the is at home in Netherlands or travelling.

You have a false positive. I checked it with Norton Endpoint V11 antivirus and with malware bytes, both show no problems. It shows as 12.4 mb size.
Granted most people think antivirus' are 100% they are surely not, the better ones get into the highest 90 percentile. Free ones generally lower than that.

Hmm, my download was smaller, 11.7 mb. And, the only thing my OS didn't like was the Butel security certificate but I ignore those warnings when the download is from a source known to me.

Well the zip file is 11.5 mb same as yours, the uncompressed is 12.4 mb -> V2.3 build 3
Used the link you provided in comment 3.

What antivirus you using thats giving you a false positive? If its one of those free ones... well you get what you pay for! hehe
Thats why I installed the free version of malwarebytes as a second opinion as it doesnt run in the background as norton does. I just rightclick and select the antivirus option on the file.

IMHO - install it! Besides if there was a real problem more Im sure more would be reporting it and I assume they would have fixed it if there was a problem.
