Hello all

I am attempting to program the MA State Police Trunk System (Motorola Type II) into a brand new BC996P2 using ARC XT Pro software (and a USB cable). Everything appears to be okay in the software in terms of the set up of sites and groups (frequencies, talkgroups, alpha tags, etc). When I upload the file to the scanner, the alpha tags all show up, but all of the frequencies and talkgroups are not there (they show up as all zeroes - i.e. "0.0000MHz").

Could this be a communication error between the computer/software and the scanner or is there a setting that I should change on one or the other?

If more info is needed, please let me know.

Thank you.

I had something like that happen to me years ago with a 396XT, which is the older portable brother for the 996P2. The same memory architecture is used, having Absolute memory limits (among other things) of 20 channel groups per system, and 500 channels per system.

The system I attempted to program exceeded those memory limits and I saw something similar to what you describe.

So you might see if that is your issue.
