ARC125 programing APCO-25

I'm VERY new to scanning so please be nice. I've searched the forums and cannot find an answer. I am trying to enter frequencies for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County (System Type: Motorola Type II SmartZone) in Tennessee and have 2 problems. First, I can’t figure out how to download the frequencies into the program and second, when I enter the frequencies manually, the program changes it to 512.000. I do not think I’m an idiot however; this is starting to change my mind. I’m to the point of paying someone, if I can find one in the area, to program it for me. I have Version 0.97 build 1 – Full Version, Firmware Update 1.02.05 and a paid RadioReference subscription. Please tell me what I’m doing wrong or if you are in the Middle Tennessee area, how I can get a hold of you.

That scanner will Not monitor the Nashville system, it is Not a trunking scanner.

After researching, I figured that out. What AFFORDABLE scanner do you recommend?

As far as AFFORDABLE, I can't recommend anything, because it looks like Nashville, and Davidson County are going P25, so Your looking at about $400.00 at least for a scanner to listen to them with, could get one cheaper if it's used.

You could check out Electronics, Cars, Fashion, Collectibles, Coupons and More Online Shopping | eBay and search for any used digital scanners, including the RadioShack Pro-2096, Pro-106, and older digital Uniden scanners. I bought a used Pro-2096 for $260.
