I have just purchased a BC246T and arc246. I seem to have a connection problem when connecting to RadioReference over the internet. It appears to connect, even download data (frequencies etc. come up on the screen) but then for some unknown reason before I get to do anything (like save the downloaded data), I get the message that says "ARC246 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." On that screen is also two boxes that say "Send Report" and "Don't Send". Then whatever you do closes arc246. Has anyone else seen this happen or have any idea why it is happening? I am using Windows XP and connect to the internet thru AT&T DSL. This problem does not appear with any other programs or connections to the internet. I hope I can solve this to make use of the arc246 capabilities to program my new BC246T.
