I am new to all of this and cannot figure how to download frequencies into my radio. I have it hooked up to the computer & internet but am stalled at this point. I would appreciate any help since I have had no luck by myself.

Welcome to RR. Select the "Internet" menu in ARC256, then Radio Reference. This will bring you to the login prompt. Use the login for this site and hit connect. Then you should then be able to use the pull down menus to get State and County. Select Conventional tab 1st(you can come back and get any trunked systems later). All the systems in your county will show on the left under data. Best to then select all, and hit import on the bottom right. This should bring all the county systems and frequencies into ARC256.
Then just hit BC246, send DATA. At the bottom right, select "Send all systems" and you should have them in your scanner ready to scan. I can't help you any further since you did not enter your state and city when you registered. You need to click on the UserCP menu top left, and edit you details to include City or County, and State. Then if you have other questions, we can answer more quickly.
