I have the Butel ARC250PRO software and I have problems connecting to my BC 296D radio. I am using an Gateway XP system and connecting the USBto Serial port with a radio shack conversion cable from the serial cable I received from Uniden and connecting to my USB port (4). I have verified on the computer's display that the port is 4. For some reason it can not connect. Early on it was saying the port was in use but now it is warning I ck the radio that it is in remote. I have gone through the steps menu/3/5 (9600) enter and still nothing.
Any suggestions?

For USB make sure you run version 1.12 BETA,

What is the process of audio recording on ARC250 Pro and can it be transferred to a CD?

It saves the file in the program folder under the AUDIO folder. The file name has the frequencym date, and time in the file name and it saves as a wav file. You can manually transfer them over to a cd but I don't think the software will write by itself. Perhaps Gomert can tell us for certain.

Really is a great program. I've been using it for 2 years and I'm very pleased with it. Well worth the money.
