I have a legal copy of ARC396Pro on a old computer and would like to move it to a newer computer. Like may others I can not find the key. Is there a way the program can display the key? I'm using Version 3.0.006. All the Help -about says is full version. Chance of finding orginal purchase info is pretty slim, even slimmer than finding where I kept the keys or otherwise I'd contact Butel.

No there is no way to have the program show you the keys

Contact Butel or were ever you bought the program.

Kind of suspected that, but reading Grommets conditions for asking for the key (original purchase info plus email at that time, lets see back in 2008 or so?) can be a tall task. I suspect I'll eventually find the key but I'm not a neat record keeper. How difficult would it be to display the key in the program say under help or registration. Anyway Freescan works superb.

I save all of my software keys in a Word document on my computer. There are also several back-up copies on removable drives.

From time to time Gommert updates the software and the registration keys are needed to activate the latest release. So I open the Word files and copy/paste the information. Saves a lot of typing.

I'm sure you can extract the key from the windows registry.
click start > run> type regedit and search for the Butel key

Finally found it on a thumb drive after a massive search. Also printed out so I can lose it again

Key finders such as Belarc Adviser don't find it and looking in the registry was unsuccessful. Suspect its encripted.

Thanks all for the suggestions.
