Bandscope

Hi Gommert,

Thanks for 396 update.

I have a question. I used the Bandscope feature, but now I can't get it out of that mode.

I had the scanner with me, away from the computer, and when I try to scan, Bandscope always comes up.

What am I missing? How do I shut it off?

Thanks, Ralph VE3EUK

The bandscope uses a custom search range but I accidently enabled the 'scan and search' option for that custom range. I just uploaded a new build 4 that has this problem fixed. Pressing Scan should now resume normal scanning.

L/O frequencies

Does ARC396 software load or read from the scanner the TGIDs that have been manually locked out using the L/O key -- referring to TGIDs on a system that are not programmed into a system group, but that are just locked out when they come up in "search mode." Given the 200 TGID limitation per system, I've divided a large system into several smaller systems, then use the L/O key to eliminate overlap in "search mode." I'd like to save these locked out frequencies in ARC396 for future download.

The scanner seems to remember locked out TGIDs hopefully without affecting the 200 TGID limitation.

Or perhaps when revising and downloading a system with ARC396 there is a selection that doesn't erase the locked out frequencies -- maybe the "overwrite systems with same name" option should be unchecked? But then what else is not overwritten? thanks,

I am using ARC396. I noticed some of the Apco 25 folders have a RED M in them, while one has a BLUE M on it. Why? What is the diff between a Red M and Blue M on the folders?
