ARC404/Pro649 Help

I am testing an ARC404 demo software with my PRO 649. When I try to read data from a radio I see that my scanner sends data to a PC but at the end of reading I receive 'Run-time error '380'' message and an ARC404 stops working completely. I use self-made cable based on MAX3232 (3,3 volts) with 3.5 mm stereo jack: Rx on tip, Tx on ring, GND.

Has anybody received the same 'Run-time error '380' message from software?
