What exactly should a person use this for. When I click it, it finds many duplicate frequencies with in a created scan list. The Alpha Tags are different as well as the column SQ Code. Should a person remove any duplicates? If you leave them in the list will it cause any problems when uploading to and using your scanner? Thanks.

In my area, many of the fire departments use the same frequencies for fireground communication. The advantage is that you can identify the dept. easier. If you are one of those who need all of the memory possible because you have many scan groups, each one you remove gives you more space. The disadvantage is that you can hear the action but not know which department it is unless you hear the toneout. If you do remove duplicates, be sure that the one left does not has a PL tone or you will only hear the dept. that uses that tone.
