If you saved the file that you upload to the scanner, that is a gr5 file. If you click on Open with the ARC500 software, you should see the file.

Here is an ARC500 gr5 programming file for Essex County. It is all conventional frequencies. I turned off the scan delay for the state police frequencies. The base and mobiles use 2 different frequencies. With the scan delay off, you stand a chance of hearing a reply. Save the attached zipped file to your computer. In the Downloads folder, right click on the file and Extract All. Open the extracted file with ARC500 and Upload to Scanner. Scan lists as follows:

1. Essex Co Fire
2. Essex Co EMS
3. Essex Co Law
4. NY State Police
5. Essex Co DPW
6. Olympic Regional Development Authority

Hi Tvengr. I did everything you said in your last post. It worked fine and i decided to add another County and i put it in scanlist 7. that added to the scanner & worked fine. Then i decided to add another County. I put that in scanlist 8. After i saved it & uploaded to the scanner, everything else was not scanning, only number 8. when i hit the corresponding scan list numbers to start scanning as they were before i puy scanlist 8 in, the numbers turned to a decimal point????? I don't know if i'm missing something that should be checked or something else?? What is supposed to be checked in GLOBAL SETTINGS? What is supposed to be checked in RR software, other than what i'm going to import to the software??? I'm screwing something as far as the way i'm saving things and where it should be saved or not checking a box that should be checked?? It's beyond me!!! Thanks again for your help.

a scanlist will show up as a peroid on the display if it is not enabled, just press the number key of the scanlist you want and it will enable it again and the peroid will turn into that number you just pressed.

If you downloaded just the county in scan list 8 and sent that to the scanner. It will wipe out everything in the scanner except scan list 8. The additional county must be added to the ARC500 software along with what is in the other 7 scan lists. When you upload a file to the scanner, it overwrites everything in every scan list. You cannot just add a single scan list to the scanner. Make sure you save a copy of the file I attached.

You can not do partial uploads nor add scanlists, this is a limitation of the scanner not the software. To add new data first read from the scanner in the ARC500, then add the new data and upload back again.
To scan items/objects they must be assigned to a scanlist using the scanlist column. In ARC500 you can use scanlist preview so verify your scanlists layout.

Hello Gommert. Maybe you can help me with this issue? I have all the files that i want to enter into the scanner saved with corresponding scanlist numbers. Same thing is happening? After i download one county and then download the next it overwrites the first one i put in??? I just don't know what i am doing wrong. This particular scanner i programmed last year with no problem. it belongs to my sister. she wanted Volusia Co in FL in it. so when i put that county in it wiped everything out??? I don't know why i'm having such an issue reprogramming it. must be certain steps i should be taking or something i'm not checking off in the software??? You can only upload one thing at a time, so the issue will always be the same. Right??? Apparently I am not saving the files correctly or something else obviously? Thanks

You need to create one file with all scanlists, you can not just upload a scanlist or add data. Create one file with all the data and upload that one. Uploading data will always clear what is in the scanner. This is how the scanner was designed.
