ARC996 v4 Default File Path Problem

I recently upgraded to ARC996 v4 (running Windows 7).

The default file path for v4 is c:\users\matthew\appdata\romaing\butel\arc996\data. I can't find that 'app data' folder when I try to find it

I changed the default location to c:\users\matthew\documents\my scanner data files\arc996. Once I click ok to save that, close the program, and open the program back up, it has reverted back to the software default under appdata\....

When I try to crate a new trunk system and save the new system, this is the error message I get:

Has anyone else experienced this and if so, have you found a solution?

I've had the same problem on 2 different computers with Windows 7. I haven't found a solution either.

I don't have Windows 7, but in Windows XP files like that have the "hidden" attribute set on. I had the same problem with ARC996. I don't know how Win 7 handles that, but in XP you can turn off the hidden attribute in the "Folder Options" menu item under the "Tools" tab in My Documents.

I had the same problem using Windows XP. I keep getting that error box and could not close it!
I had to use task manager to kill the application.

Try doing a save profile first before saving the system. That worked for me.
