This is an aggravation as most people have larger than 800x600 as well as all fields can not be viewed. I can not expand the active log window

When you right click over that area this is an option to choose from.

Many. I Used Arizona/Pima county and Why FD is one at issue.

I'll check the options for the items I missed. Ok I looked, what options change the truncation of the comments field and what option prohibits the remaval of spaces?

It is, check Log Settings tab.

There is a scrollbar and you can change width of columns.

No, Uniden should add this.

For now there are no plans to do this.

Right mouse click, Groups _ Edit groups.

Correct, hold down mousebutton to select an area. We do not support the shift/ctrl/ multi select/

The problem with sites just appearing where they want to...

Here is a screen capture showing how the 'CUMBERLAND TRS' site just magically appeared in place of the 'CAMP LEJUNE TRS' site. I wasn't even editing either of those systems. This is not the latest version from yesterday. I reverted back to the .904 beta basic version due to the 'analog audio' problem in the new release. Is anyone else having a problem like this?

This is a known problem and was fixed in 0.91. I can duplicate the 'Analog' problem and will be fixed in next beta.

YEA BUT .... It did it when I was using .910 last night until I found the 'ANALOG' problem, and re-installed older version, so I don't think it's completely fixed yet...

Will individual subtones log with the checkbox unchecked?

I want each hit logged with the individual subtone without the SUB Line is this possible?

Leaving the SUB line on already uses the precious real estate that will not be freed up to view fast moving activity.

As far as the log window goes I can not adjust the fields to the point to see the all of the pertinent information. As a programmer I do not understand your unwillingness to allow that window size to be user defined.

I have started a thread about the lack of the REC output during a scanner STAT call. No one has added to it. I will do some research and find all the reasons that others and myself have given for a firmware upgrade to the scanner and start a new thread. Hopefully this will give attention to these issues. It is hard for me to believe that the designers would have not thought about this in there extensive list of calls.

Needless to say I am disappointed with both the Record and Log feature as they are implemented in the software at this time.

Pertaining to the Systems and Groups... Either I am not verbalizing my request correctly or I am misunderstanding your response.

I click on Add System button.

It adds a system

Within that system is 10 groups, all empty.

How do I prevent those groups from being automatically created?

Stimuli, The way I do it is, Once the ten new groups are added, right click on the system and choose from the menu, 'edit groups'. From the window that opens, you can check or uncheck unwanted groups, set quick key, rename, etc. It's more convinient than having to rename or delete from the browser. Hope this helps. I haven't found a setting to control the number of groups created by default.

I've noticed that when I download systems from the scanner it does not display all the system quuick keys, just a few of them. When I go to the qk editor they are there ok but not all displayed in the browser.

Yes, if they are programmed in a channel they are logged.
The SUB line shows detected subtones (ctcss search mode) and there is no hitcount for detected tones.

A default conv. system in ARC996 always has 10 groups. You can use 'Edit groups' to toggle groups on/off.

Problem?

Seems that the software makes write errors. I had a small fleet net group set up rad it from the scanner, edited a few fields with arc and wrote it to the scanner. Data was lost and other errors crept in.

Could this be comm port speed?

If I have VC up and running and record is on also, the program will lock up and shut down. I will turn it on and leave for work. I stop by to check on any new talkgroups and what is said on them and ARC is no longer running. No power outage or anything. Anyone had this happen?

I'll have to try again I stopped recording when I found that the log and record could not be doing 2 different things.

(Recording only certain channels and logging all)

Yea - This is the same thing that is happening to me

The problem is simple to re create.

1) Read a large group of channels from the scanner.

2) Delete the large group of channels from the scanner.

3) Write back the large group of channels.

4) Scroll through them on the scanner to see the errors

Maybe next release?
