Can the AOR ARD9000 be used with a scanner?

It'll work. There is a "speaker in" and "speaker out" jack on the back. I've never used one, but it seems as simple as just patching your speaker through the unit.

However, it probably won't be useful unless you are really planning on listening to something specific that you know, 100% sure, uses the G4GUO protocol. This is mainly used on HF, and mainly by amateurs. Unlikely you'll get much use out of this unit with a scanner.

Is there something specific you are trying to listen to?

No, nothing specific. It seemed like a good application.
I was just curious.

The ard300 would be a better "fit" for a receiver provided that the receiver has a 10.7 IF out js.

Do an IF tap off your scanner, and try one of these:
ARD300 | OTHER PRODUCTS | AOR U.S.A., INC. Authority On Radio Communications
Lots more useful, more modes. G4GUO on it's own would be pretty useless, using the ard300 gives you NXDN, DMR, P25, etc.

Of course there are computer programs that will do this, too.
