It looks they are getting ready to add a new site to the OHP trunked sytem at Ardmore;

This appears be a new site in Ardmore proper. I searched the address listed on the license and that is less than 1/2 mile SW of Troop F HQ. It is about 285 ft tall and probably an existing tower next to I-35. Ardmore's other sites are probably still on the books. It does seem they are getting closer to being on the air.

The address places the tower just northeast of exit 31 on I-35. I've placed the site in my 996 centered at exit 31 with a 20 mile radius. I'll be curious if I hear anything during one of my trips to Dallas.

For pure listening, I'd much rather see a site on the Arbuckle Mountain antenna farm.

There is a site planned for the Arbuckles. It is listed as Davis but the license WQFR886 shows it to be about a little south of the big tower farm on the west side of the I-35.. It is licensed to be on a 76 meter (250 ft) tall tower. That site should talk all the way to Purcell.
