I am looking for a GPS Based Arduino APRS/ "Navigator" project.
With Navigator be able enter the start and end designations. It would be nice for it to have the b asic features for a type Garmin type unit as a navigator type unit.

Thanks for the help. 73

The only device I know of that's close to what you want is the AvMap products that were made for APRS. The AvMap APRS products were a mapping GPS receiver with navigation that understood how to interface with the Kenwood APRS radios.

I owned one. It was expensive to purchase and map upgrades were expensive. And, it was a bit quirky. I used it for about a year and then sold it.

Another alternative would be a Raspberry Pi with a TNC hat, like the TNC Pi. You could run Xastir, which is a map-based APRS client, on the Pi. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of the TNC Pi has ceased production. And, Xastir doesn't have the navigation features you may want.

An Arduino doesn't have enough computing power for something like that. A Raspberry Pi would, with a GPS module. Or use an Android device, which would have options.
