Any chance of getting this into a Q-Whistler kind of program for scanners?
And move the mode setting to right after the frequency where it can be predicted?
That would make it super simply to import in excel and adapt to any scanner program that handles text import or clipboard paste. Or get rid of the AR-DV1 handshake requirement and/or make the remote protocol adaptable to Uniden/Whistler/Icom only sending frequencies?

Thanks for your interest.
As you can see the programs 'Q' search now predicts Modes if none are shown in a frequency line, and placing it on the end of the line makes more sense to me. eSPYonARD is so versatile it would not matter where the Mode appeared, as with a frequency it will find and use them.
I imagine owners of other maker's equipment would like your suggestions, even the Manufacturers themselves, and especially those who provide software for other Scanners and the AR-DV1.
'Q' would give their Programs and Radios a very distinct leap forward. Of course the ability to import frequencies so quickly for immediate use is just one of the many extras 'Q' brings, but in reality just a small part of the whole program together with lots of other special abilities.
Sadly, after spending over 2 years developing eSPYonARD, inventing 'Q' and all its facilities, and making the already unique AR-DV1 much more powerful, I am a bit reluctant to go down that line. Re-writing the whole program so it could act as an emulator without an AR-DV1 is out of the question, but I suppose it would be a way for others to be able to get all its benefits of 'Q' for free, and use it for other Radios/Scanners, and even as an add-on for different CAT type programs.
No other software has ever produced anything so simple to use, fast, and comprehensive as 'Q' in eSPYonARD, but it will remain just for the AR-DV1.
I assume you downloaded the text file I attached to the post above, gathered from the URL you mentioned, showing the predicted Modes it added on any line that did not already contain one?
Not that 'Q' is widely appreciated, lol. I know of of people who still think the claims for it are just too outlandish to be true, despite what other Users may have posted proving the claims are just fact. Strange really, as it is there for anyone to try in the free version of the program, if they have an AR-DV1
I actually would be the first to understand that. About a year ago I was just playing Radio when I thought it would be nice to be able to import whole lists of frequencies from almost anywhere, in a a single operation, irrespective of how they were worded, and be able to use them within a minute or two, or even more quickly. I (almost) dismissed the idea as a fantasy, but 24 hours later I had a working prototype.
It grew from there, and how it grew. I do not think the full potential has been realised yet. I still get emails from Customers telling me they have discovered new uses for it.
Of course one would expect me to think 'Q' is a Scanning revolution, lol, but I am pleased that many of the Program's owners have contacted me and confirmed they think that too.
It is a shame you do not have an AR-DV1, or you would have been able to actually use 'Q' and see just how 'strong' it is. Not only did it produce your List in a short time, but within seconds you could have been selecting or scanning all the Frequencies, or utilising the 'Q' filter function to isolate those you wish, and create individual Lists from them, just with a few mouse clicks.
Because the information is all contained in simple text files, modifying them, or creating your own is so simple. The small size of them, and being able to create backups easily is just a bonus, as is the vast quantity of files ('Q' Memory Banks) one is able to store, select and use.
No size restrictions. A 'Q' file can contain as many, or as few frequencies as you wish. The 'Q' UK Frequency text file contains 31,000+ frequency entries with modes and descriptions, and is about 2 mb in size, all ready for immediate use just with mouse clicks. No restriction on TAG (description) lengths either.
In the next update, with automatic Mode prediction, 'Q' will have taken another jump forward, making it even more versatile and powerful, but to be able to use eSPYonARD people will have to get an AR-DV1, but what a powerful combination they make (some might say).
