I was wondering if any of the Uniden radio paid upgrades (ProVoice, DMR, NXDN) would enhance the listening experience in San Diego or if they would just be a waste of $$$. Thanks for your thoughts!

Look in the Radio Reference database page for the area and if anything you want to hear is marked as unencrypted DMR or NXDN, then yes. If not, then no. It's up to you.

Everyone has different monitoring interests. Search the database to find out what DMR & NXDN systems are close to you. I'll make it easy for you and include this statewide TRS page, (this search covers trunked systems, search your county's DB page for conventionals) sort it however you wish (by county, system type, etc)

Thanks Whiskey3JMC! Yep, looks like some potentially interesting stuff on DMR and NXDN.
