I'm trying to get the majority of frequency programming completed before my SDS100 arrives, but I'm having "an issue", I apologize in advance if this is been asked before somewhere...

I saw a video by "A Boy and a Scanner", where he entered frequencies in manually, and then read them into Sentinel. That's cool, it's a pain in the backside and sort of defeats the purpose of using the Sentinel program (IMHO), but it seems I'm incapable of figuring out how to enter individual frequencies into Sentinel manually. I must be missing something because I cannot believe they would screw up that badly in not accommodating manual entries.

This should be the last time I need assistance... THANKS.

Create a Favorites List, then a Conventional System within it. Then create a Group within that Conventional System. Lastly add a Channel to the Group. You can add many channels or a single channel to a group but you need to create a Favorites List and System first.

What month is it?
I think you meant how to use the keypad (on the radio) to enter a freq. manually (manually 'tune') the radio?

Press the RH soft key (channel).
Enter the frequency
Press the RH soft key again.
Voila!

Oh..... I re-read the OP. (" frequencies into Sentinel manually.")
You do that via edit the favorite list in question.
If no one answers, I can, later this AM

Thanks! My mistake was not drilling down that extra level! I think I'm over the learning curve now, for basics at least.

It probably won't, but that's okay. The learning curve for these scanners resembles a roller coaster designed by Tigger on crack.* But we were all new once, and we are now here to help, as many times as you need it.

*Apologies to Walt Disney.
