Hi,

I got a new UT-106 as a gift and the instructions doesn't mention my radio (PCR2500) I noticed the ebay have listed UT-106 for the PCR1000 and PCR2500 are these units different?

I don't want to make a mistake and install something that doesn't belong in there.

Thanks

Hello,

The install instructions are on Page 125 of the PCR-2500 manual.

Thanks Eric,

Yes, I did read the installation intructions in the manual but my concern is that this unit was advertised for the PCR1000 and I have a PCR2500.

One seller over ebay have two ads for the UT-106 one for the PCR1000 and one for the PCR2500. So my question remains are these two different?

The part number on the back of the DSP is 44600 I wonder if the part number for the PCR2500 version is different.

They are the same. The UT-106 option has been available for many years, and is used in several Icom radio products. The PCR-2500 is a newer product. This is why the instruction sheet supplied with your UT-106 does not mention the PCR-2500.

Yes, you have the right answer. Yesterday I phoned Icom TS in WA and a very helpful guy confirmed me that there is only one version of the UT-106. Last night I installed the DSP unit.

Thanks for all the replies.
